Two-person Regional Team Competition

The regional qualifying tournament for the Tiger Woods Charity Playoffs in Philadelphia will be played on the historic Merion Golf Club's East Course. Merion has hosted four U.S. Women's Amateur Championships, six U.S. Amateur Championships, and five U.S. Open Championships. In fact, Merion's storied East Course has played host to more USGA Championships than any course in America.

By registering and competing in this unique team event you can walk the fairways where Jones, Hogan, Trevino and Rose have all claimed major tournament victories.

But it gets even better. You and your playing partner just might earn a deluxe VIP Stay-and-Play package to the TWCP Finals in Orlando, Florida, this December.

Register now and experience the wonder of Merion Golf Club.

About the Tiger Woods Charity Playoffs at Merion Golf Club:
  • Golfers MUST play as a two-person team. No singles will be paired with others.
  • The team entry fee is $1,000 ($500 per player) and includes green fees, cart fees, caddie fees (gratuities extra), golfers gift pack, use of practice facility, locker room access, lunch and awards reception.
  • In addition to the entry fee, each team is required to give or get an additional $2,000 ($1,000 per player), with every dollar going directly toward making a positive difference in the lives of underserved children through the Tiger Woods Foundation and Kids on the Hill. You will be given both a personal and team profile through which you can fundraise. You can also just pay the amount yourself.

In addition you'll be treated to a private golf exhibition with Tiger Woods followed by a reception hosted by Tiger and other PGA TOUR pros, and VIP access to the World Challenge Golf tournament. Airfare and additional nights lodging are at the player’s expense.
  • Any team raising $10,000 or more will automatically qualify for the TWCP Finals and the VIP Stay-and-Play package.
  • The team that raises the most nationally, across all events, will receive Pro-Am spots in each of the 2015 Tiger Woods Foundation events (Deutsche Bank Championship, Quicken Loans National and World Challenge).
  • Please note if a regional event is comprised of a field that does not meet a minimum of (20) twenty players the tournament will only award a low net winner with the opportunity to earn a VIP Stay-and-Play package which includes two days of golf, two nights hotel accommodations, gourmet hospitality and a gifting experience.

Tiger Woods Foundation Tiger Woods Foundation
Where you come from shouldn't mean failure. At the Tiger Woods Foundation, it doesn't. Our programs break the cycle of poverty with college-access opportunities for low-income students. The Tiger Woods Foundation expanded its first Tiger Woods Learning Center campus to Philadelphia in 2012 as a partnership with the KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy offering its STEM-based, college-access programs. In 2013 through a partnership with USLI, the TWLC opened at Cristo Rey Philadelphia High School providing students with unique programing in robotics, engineering and universal science. At these learning centers, students make the connection between school and career, while planning a road map to college. Tailored to the needs of the first-generation scholar, the Earl Woods Scholarship Program provides four-year college scholarships coupled with an unyielding support system. But we don't stop there. Through dedicated mentors, professional development workshops and internships, our one-to-one philosophy ensures the success of our students in college and beyond. See how our scholars are smashing the cycle of poverty at tigerwoodsfoundation.org and @TWFoundation.

Kids on the Hill Kids on the Hill
Kids on the Hill introduces the game of golf and the life values that it teaches, to kids participating in the Philadelphia Police Athletic League (PAL) organization. The program's purpose is to foster character, sportsmanship and scholarship in inner-city children by educating them to the history, play, etiquette and skills of golf.

Golf Association of Philadelphia
The J. Wood Platt Caddie Scholarship Trust was created in 1958 by the Golf Association of Philadelphia. The Scholarship’s mission, which has remained constant since its inception, is to financially aid deserving caddies in their pursuit of higher education. In the last 55 years, more than 3,300 young men and women have received almost $16 million in aid. In the 2013-14 academic year, 158 caddies are receiving more than $920,000. Award amounts range from $500 to $10,000 per academic year for undergraduates, and up to $7,500 a year for graduate students. The Scholarship is also helping to preserve one of the game’s most valued traditions, the caddie. By supporting caddies in their traditional educational pursuits, the Scholarship is also reminding golfers of the important role the caddie has played in the game’s history. In turn, this role is preserved for the game’s future.
